The European Commission has carried out unannounced inspections of tire manufacturers in several European countries. It fears “that price coordination has taken place” between these companies.

The products concerned by the inspections are new replacement tires for passenger cars, vans, trucks and buses sold in Europe. The European Commission does not reveal the names but specifies that the products concerned are new Replacement tires for Passenger Cars, Van and Buses sold in European. The inspections are expected to be completed by the end of the month.
