Xbox offers its rivals four of its exclusive video games, a strategic change. Games that could only be played on Xbox will in the future be playing on the platforms of rivals Sony and Nintendo.

The announcement comes as the Xbox still suffers from competition with Sony's PlayStation 5 (PS5) console. After its costly acquisition of Activision, Xbox is "under pressure" to find new ways to accelerate its sales, says an expert from Kantan Games in Japan. The American group also wants to boost its sales in video games after the finalization last October of its giant acquisition of game publisher Activision Blizzard.
