"Book Club – The Next Chapter" is less about books than its predecessor. Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen star in the sequel.
The four girlfriends read "Fifty Shades of Grey" to radicalize their relationships. There are some reasonable moments, but the gags fall by the wayside, according to media reports. The Berliner Zeitung praises the film, because the "story bathed in wonderfully warm colors" But this newspaper also complains that the film does not go beyond a few mentions of "The Alchemist"
