GDP slowdown in 2023 weighs on immigrants' remittances, -0.4% ++. In detail, foreign citizens sent 8.1 billion euros to their countries of origin compared to 8.2 in 2022.

In the fourth quarter, in line with the slowdown in GDP, Remittances fell by 2.4%. The top three countries receiving remittance were Bangladesh, Pakistan and the Philippines, which received 14.3, 8.3 and 7.3% of the flow respectively.
