“Amelia’s Children”, a family from hell in the land of fado. In this Portuguese production, in theaters this Wednesday, a young American finds traces of his biological mother and his twin brother.

Selected at the recent Gérardmer Fantastic Film Festival, "Amelia's Children" won one of the two jury prizes. An asset for exploiting a story of family secrets, full of decadence and which veers into old-fashioned fantasy. This takes place in a setting rarely seen here, deep Portugal, far from the postcards of Lisbon or the Algarve.
