Some foods are still edible even after their expiry date. Master baker Hannes Weber and his wife Baldina Weber want to turn old baked goods into fine whiskey in the future. The production of alcohol from baking leftovers is currently banned in the EU. But the legislative process is already underway, says a scientist from the University of Hohenheim.
