Emilia Clarke was named a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) on Wednesday February 21. Prince William presented her with the title and badge at Windsor Castle.

The actress is best known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the series Game of Thrones. She and her mother, Jennifer Clarke, are the first mother-daughter duo to receive the same award from the same list of nominees. Emilia Clarke suffers from two cerebral aneurysms and works with her mother to help other victims.
