Nurse, midwife or intern testify to Le Parisien about the sexual harassment and assault they suffered in their workplace. Testimonies of this type have been flooding onto social networks since Wednesday evening.

An article in Paris Match reported sexist comments and sexual assaults suffered by caregivers in hospitals. The article targets in particular the doctor Patrick Pelloux, after a testimony from Professor Karine Lacombe, who recounts several scenes of sexual harassment, even sexual assault, on her part. At Paris Match, Pelloux – who did not wish to react further – assured that he had “never attacked anyone”. “I didn’t know what else to say…” Mathilde, 23, heard this sentence from a caregiver while she was working on a fixed-term contract in a clinic. “We had mixed changing rooms. I had just washed my hair, he smells it and said:  Oh but I'm going to jerk off to you tonight!”
