Serena Williams was interviewed by People on the occasion of the magazine's 50th anniversary. The tennis legend revealed some of the funny questions her daughter asked about her fame.
“The list of things I still need to accomplish is very long. It is even infinite,” she reveals. But despite this endless “to do list”, her priority remains her role as a mother. “Being a good mother is something very important to me,’ she confides in the magazine’s column “How Do They Know Your Name?” The six-time Wimbledon tournament champion says she wants to offer her children a “normal life” and to be discreet by nature. She claims to live in a very quiet neighborhood, and tries to minimize her popularity with her eldest daughter, Olympia, 6 years old. She also explains to him that she was pregnant with her at the time of her victory at the Australian Open tournament, in 2017.
