[HIGHLIGHTS] “Of Silver and Blood”, “The World Does Not Exist”… How More and More Books Become Series

At festivals like Séries Mania or Quais du Polar, publishers and producers meet to imagine adaptations of books. This event, entitled “Shoot the book’, (literally “Film the book) is initiated by the SCELF (Civil Society of French Language Publishers) It takes place during around fifteen events such as at the Cannes Film Festival, the Angoulême Festival or at Quais Du Polar in Lyon, which will take place from April 5 to 7.

“The idea is to facilitate discussions between publishers andProducers and accelerate the taking of options,” summarizes Nathalie Piaskowski, general director of theSCELF.
