“Shôgun” on Disney +: a magnificent historical fresco in feudal Japan. The series adapted from the eponymous novel by James Clavell benefits from superb sets and costumes, as well as excellent Japanese actors.
But some highly anticipated twists and turns are not impactful enough. It's a bit of a shame, especially considering the great performance of the Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada, who plays Toranaga. This luxurious setting ensures a journey through time that is as immersive as it is fascinating.
