Two Les Républicains (LR) deputies tabled a bill this Monday aimed at regulating the use of screens in the presence of children. The text aims not only to prohibit screens for toddlers when they are looked after, but also to limit their use to professionals who welcome them.

This bill comes as a group of experts was commissioned last winter by Emmanuel Macron to work on the issue of theUse of screens by children. “Everything shows that the passive Use of screens and their overexposure can hinder the development of the child, it is a major public health problem,” says Annie Genevard, of the Doubs.
