Kensington Palace reportedly refused to release the original photograph following this controversy. A source from the princely palace also told the Telegraph that Prince William's wife felt “very bad” after this controversy, and that she would have done everything to make the photo “as beautiful as possible” The Daily Mail also revealed that the princess wanted to “take responsibility” for the “blunder” committed on Mother’s Day.
