Michelin-starred chef Marco Sacco sentenced to prison for serving poisoned food to guests at a wedding. Sacco served oysters infected with norovirus, the vomiting virus, to more than 50 wedding guests and causing some of them to end up in the emergency room.

The oysters were served raw and were punished for it, although there was no warning on the package they came in about not using them in the condition that they were served to guests. There was concern that many Italians may now shy away from ordering dishes with fresh fish or raw oysters.
