A Pierre Boulez year for the composer's centenary in 2025. Laurent Bayle, who succeeded the composer at the head of IRCAM, was tasked by the Ministry of Culture with preparing this tribute.
“No one better than him has succeeded in embodying the role of the builder who has strongly contributed to the transformation of the entire French musical landscape,” explains rue de Valois. The two men met at the beginning of the 1980s and Bayle supported and defended Boulez's projects, notably the creation of the Cité de la musique.
