A traveler discovered an ancient and rare Assyrian seal amulet in Nahal Tabor. A scarab amulet from the Assyrian period, apparently (2800 years old), was discovered by Erez Abrahamov who was hiking near Tel Rachsh.

The rare find was transferred to the state treasury by Abrahamov. The scarab is a type of seal that was widely used throughout the ancient world from the 4th BC onwards. The griffon that appears on the seal is a well-known artistic motif in the art of the Ancient Near East.
