Abortion returns to the United States Supreme Court with the use of a drug to terminate pregnancy. The high court must decide whether to increase restrictions on mifepristone, a drug that is used in more than half of the cases in the country.

Around 63% of pregnancy terminations are carried out in the U.S. using these pills, according to the Guttmacher Institute. In 2020, when Roe v. Wade was still in effect, pills were involved in 53% of cases.
