Advertising for books authorized for two years on television, that of cinema perpetuated. Over the next two years, books will be able to be the subject of television advertisements for the first time on free national channels.

This experiment will establish whether advertising can improve authors' sales, as was the case for cinema. Advertising for books was previously only authorized on channels broadcast by cable or satellite, since 1992. Before 2020, advertising for cinema on television was, before 2020, prohibited to protect small independent films compared to American “blockbusters” with enormous advertising power.
