Le Monde obtained the notebooks of Claude Palmero, the prince's former accountant. Notebooks point to the “excessive spending” of Nicole Coste, former relation of the prince and mother of his illegitimate son Alexandre.
In June 2007, the former accountant deplored in his first notebook “the excessive spending’ of the latter. In February 2017, he also paid 300,000 euros to the former mistress of Albert II.
