Becoming Karl Lagerfeld is a series directed by Jérôme Salle and Audrey Estrougo. Daniel Brühl and Alex Lutz are the interpreters of Pierre Bergé and the great German fashion designer.
The two actors presented the first episodes of the show as part of the Canneséries Festival, on Sunday April 7. The opportunity to discuss with them the complex relationship between their characters, the contribution of Agnès Jaoui to this series adapted from the work of Raphaëlle Bacqué, or the challenges faced by the one who embodies one of the greatest creators. Like Andy Warhol, Karl Lagersfeld has become a timeless icon of pop culture. It was interesting for me to get involved in a project evoking the human aspect of Karl Lasherfeld, and not the fact that he was an immortal and artificial figure, whose memory will mark us forever. Knowing that he continues to exist in people's minds would surely be a wonderful thought.
