The amaryllis, also known as the knight's star, fascinates with its magnificent flowers and its easy care. Propagation from seeds is an exciting way to grow new plants and nurture them into flowering specimens.
Even though growing it is easy, you should have some patience for the first flowering. After the Ice Saints, the plants can be placed on the balcony or terrace. After about two more years, after further phases of fertilizing, overwintering and repotting, with a bit of luck the bulbs will be large enough to bloom. But sometimes this takes five years.
