Argentina's Walter Farina has developed synthetic fragrances that induce bees to move to certain crops. Smart pollination is a discovery that makes pollination more efficient.

A third of the world's agriculture reproduces by pollination, in 95% of cases, is fulfilled by bees. Farina's lab has already developed (and seeks to patent abroad) fragrance of sunflower, pears, apples, almonds, blueberries and kiwi. Alfalfa, avocados, cherries and strawberries are in the research phase.
