Arnona tax is expected to jump by about 2.7% at the beginning of 2024, and the public will pay an additional NIS 763 million a year – the highest increase since 2014. "The automatic increase in prices by law must be frozen", says the president of the Association of Chambers of Commerce.

Most of the upcoming increase (93%) is as a result of the increase in the Consumer Price Index over the past year. In total, next year businesses and the large cluster will pay municipal taxes totaling NIS 29.23 billion.
