An avalanche fell this morning on Croda da Lago, a town above Cortina d'Ampezzo. The Suem helicopter from Pieve di Cadore flew to the scene, with the avalanche dog unit also on board.
Along the way, the crew was informed that the people hit had already managed to extract themselves from the snow. The two injured were transported to Belluno hospital, where they were treated for injuries to their legs and arms. The avalanche left a third person unharmed.
