Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni anticipates the return to Italy from Hiroshima to closely follow the bad weather emergency that has hit Emilia Romagna in particular. The Japanese Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida, at the opening of the sixth session of the G7 expressed closeness and solidarity to Italy for the serious flood.

"I express my condolences for the victims and for what is happening in Italy," he said during a meeting attended not only by G7 leaders but also by representatives of host countries and international organizations.
