Gianmarco Pozzecco has released the list of 15 players called up to Pesaro for the two matches of the first qualifying window scheduled for Thursday 22 February (Italy-Turkey at 8.30pm) and Sunday 25 February in Szombathely. Nine Italians returning from the World Cup in the Philippines have been confirmed: Spissu, Tonut, Melli, Ricci, Spagnolo, Polonara, Severini, Procida and Pajola.
The name of Simone Fontecchio who is busy with the Utah Jazz in the NBA does not appear in the list.
