Deutsche Bahn and the EVG trade union have agreed on a settlement submitted by the Frankfurt Labour Court. The railway must now reorganize the planned emergency operation back to normal operation.

According to a survey, one in four people in Germany has "no understanding at all" for the 50-hour warning strike at the railways. The strike is expected to affect long-distance, regional and freight transport services from Sunday evening to Tuesday evening. Almost every train is likely to be cancelled, the railway has already cancelled some connections on Sunday afternoon.
