It has a strong emphasis on dance, soul and hip-hop. Spotify announced Friday evening that Cowboy Carter was already the album that received the most streams in one day this year. The recognition even came from the White House on Friday, with Vice President Kamala Harris writing: “You redefined a genre and reclaimed the black roots of country music.”
