The fourth installment of The Adventures of Bridget Jones has been confirmed for release on Valentine's Day, 2025. The film titled “Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy” will be released in cinemas around the world and on the American platform Peacock.

Renée Zellweger will play alongside two actors already seen in the previous films, namely Emma Thompson and Hugh Grant. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall have also been announced as cast members. Colin Firth will not return in the role of Mark Darcy, Bridget's initial lover, the latter having been killed by a mine during a mission in Sudan. After Sharon Maguire directing the first and third films and Beeban Kidron directing the second, this is the first time that a man will direct a film in the saga, in the person of Michael Morris. So far, the franchise has grossed $760 million at the box office, while the first film released in 2001 earned an Oscar nomination.
