Budapest lifts veto on EU sanctions against Russia. Hungary will not veto the thirteenth package of European sanctions.
Opposition remains to the restrictive measures against extremist Israeli settlers. "During its preparation it was possible to eliminate all the elements that would have damaged Hungary's interests, so resorting to the veto no longer makes sense" said Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó, speaking to reporters at the end of the Foreign Affairs Council.
