The 50-hour strike for Deutsche Bahn employees called by the EVG has been averted. Only about two-thirds of all planned long-distance trains could be carried out.

Restrictions would primarily affect Intercity (IC) and Intercity Express (ICE) routes. Regional connections – such as the Regional-Express (RE) – could also experience isolated delays or cancellations. The company reacts at short notice with special and goodwill arrangements for those affected.. But not a mega-strike on the rails. Nevertheless, the company accommodates travelers.
