Cancer is the leading cause of premature mortality in France, with more than 150,000 deaths each year. The month of March was dedicated to its prevention.
Better screening would prevent 6,600 deaths every year. Low support for prevention is a French characteristic, as pointed out by the Court of Auditors in 2021.
