Cancer diagnoses rise in Europe, affecting 1 in 20 people. Between 2010 and 2020, the total number of cancer cases in Europe increased on average by 3.5% per year and by 41% overall (from 16.8 to 23.7 million) The increase was more marked in men (+46%, from 7.47 million in 2010 to 10.9 million in 2020) than in women (+37%, from 9.34 to 12.8 million).
There are countries with more cases, among these the highest values are found in Germany, Italy, Belgium and France.
