Environmentalist deputy Nicolas Thierry presented a proposed European resolution to revise the Reach regulation. He calls on the government to “take head-on” the issue of chemical pollution to fight infertility.

“Instead of promoting the idea of demographic rearmament, the French government should rather address a major reason for infertility which is chemical pollution,” said the elected official. Postponed several times, the revision of Reach regulation is eagerly awaited, as it is likely to tighten it drastically. But it does not appear on the European executive's work calendar for 2024.
