Christine Macel has long been synonymous with contemporary art, even very contemporary. Appointed in the fall of 2022 to head the Musée des arts décoratifs, she immersed herself like a khâgneuse in her subject.

She now guides 12 curators, 90 people in the museum team, against 20 and 120 respectively at the Centre Pompidou. The policy of her predecessor, Olivier Gabet, set up the museum with great success, mainly thanks to exhibitions.
