The five towns of Italy that make up Cinque Terre are located on the eastern Ligurian coast, from Punta Mesco to Punta di Montenero. These are Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare, starting from the east.

With historical records dating back to the 11th century, these destinations were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. In 1999, the Cinques Terre National Park was created with 120 kilometers of themed trails to explore on foot or by bike.
