Chocolate lovers have to be prepared for higher costs. Sugar and cocoa are also more expensive – sales figures are still stable. In addition to the cocoa, other ingredients have also become more expensive. In January 2024, the price of chocolate per capita in Germany remained stable; according to the BDSI, it was 9.3 kilos. So the price has tripled in January 2024.
