The global average temperature last month was 14.4°C, 0.73°C higher than the average for the thirty-year period 1991 - 2020. It was 1.68°C warmer than the MarchAverage for the fifty years 1850 - 1900, the reference period of the pre-industrial era. The month is also 0.10°C hotter than the previous record set in March, that of 2016.
