The administrative court of Montpellier put a brake Tuesday on the return of the bullfight in Pérols (Hérault) Animal protection associations, the "Comité radically anticorrida" (Crac Europe) and the "Alliance anticorrIDA" had asked the court to suspend the municipal council's decisions. The mayor of Péros, Jean-Pierre Rico, had announced in February the return to bullfighting.
The Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA) welcomed the decision, calling it a "turning point"
