It is best for consumers to look for alternative offers at least four months before the end of their current contract so that they can comply with the usual notice period of three months. Switching to cheaper car insurance can also reduce their costs drastically – up to 47 percent – according to Check24. But there are also significantly cheaper offers for car insurance.
