Dalibor Matanic, one of Croatia's most famous directors, admitted to having had "inappropriate actions" towards several women. The filmmaker, awarded at Cannes in 2015, spoke out after the publication of several press articles.
“All of this took place at times when I was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Our work is terribly stressful - but that certainly doesn't justify my behavior,” the 49-year-old director wrote on Facebook, adding that he had decided to enter a drug treatment center.
