British novelist Martin Amis died Friday at his Florida home at age 73. The author of "Money, Money" (1984) and "London Fields" died of esophageal cancer.

The adaptation of his novel, "The Zone of Interest," was presented in Cannes at the same time. Amis redefined British fiction literature of the 80s and 90s with novels with a dark and biting style. The Times named him in 2008 as one of the fifty greatest British writers since 1945.
