Death of Wayne Kramer, guitarist and co-founder of rock group MC5. His band, the MC5, achieved cult status in the 1970s with songs like “Kick Out The Jams.” He was also considered the precursor of punk rock.
Only one surviving member is drummer Dennis "Machine Gun" Thompson. “Brother Wayne Kramer was the best man I ever knew,” Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello paid tribute to him on Instagram on Friday.
