The unprecedented dengue epidemic has already recorded more than 180,000 infections and 129 deaths. The National Immunization Commission (Conain) has just recommended to the Government to move forward with the implementation of the vaccine.

"We cannot repeat the mistakes of the past," says the Ministry of Health of Argentina. The vaccine continues to be subjected to studies to establish its effectiveness according to the age range and endemic regions, says the National immunization Commission. "The objective is to collect sufficient evidence to determine a targeted program that is safe and effective," it adds.
