Dengue epidemic is going through one of the most critical moments in the country. According to the official weekly report, there are already more than 100 fatalities from the disease in 2024.
The accumulated incidence so far for the entire country is 384 cases per hundred thousand inhabitants. The Epidemiological Bulletin released this Saturday, which reaches week 12 of this year, indicates that there are 119 deaths in 2024 from dengue. Thus, there was a jump compared to the 96 fatalities detected for this year in the previous report. If the look by "season" is included, which covers the period between week 31 in 2023 and week 12 in 2024, the number of deaths increases to 129.
