After 16 years of restoration, the palace of Aigai in Greece is open to the public. The restoration work is part of a larger project to restore the palace to its former glory.

The project will also include the restoration of the walls and ceilings of the palace, which were destroyed during the Second World War. The palace was built by King Philip II of Macedon in the 4th century BC, and was the seat of his son Philip II, who died in the 7th century. It is the only palace of its kind in Europe.
