Disney+ prohibits account sharing: It will soon be more expensive for millions of users. Netflix – the top dog among streaming providers – took measures against account sharing months ago.
Even though this initially resulted in numerous angry Netflix customers and subscription cancellations, the measure increased the number of subscribers. It is not certain whether Disney+ will also be successful with its approach. There's always the risk that disgruntled customers will switch to the competition, and Disney has received a lot of criticism in recent months - for example for the remake of Snow White.
