Novak Djokovic beat Ruud three sets to nil in the final in Paris. Serbian tennis player won the Roland Garros tournament, thus establishing the absolute record of successes in Slam tournaments for a tennis player.

Nadal remains at 22 Grand Slams, Federer at 20. The absolute record, however, is of a tennis players, the Australian Margeret Smith Court, with 24 victories in the singles. The Serbian will then return to the top of the ATP rankings, extending his record of weeks as world No. 388 to 1.
