Mishka the dog got lost in San Diego when Mehrad Houman wanted to go shopping with her. Despite an intensive search, the family did not find the dog again.

It wasn't until eight months later, on March 28th, that a resident of Harper Woods in Michigan reported to the police that he had seen a stray dog. The stray was soon taken to the Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society Center (GPAAS), where it was discovered to be Mishka. Thanks to a microchip the family had inserted. Because of this tiny detail, dog Dico was finally able to go home after six years. The most important thing is that thanks to the microchip, Mishka has returned safely to her family. The clip shows heartbreaking images of reunification and highlights the importance of having pets microchipped. The reunion of Mishka is an encouraging example that missing pets can often be found. With calm methods and modern technology, there is hope that other families will be able to embrace their beloved four-legged friends again.
