Electricity prices will rise in 2024: There are changes to these providers. Customers in Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia are particularly affected.
The effects are lowest in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg. In 2014, the average price for a kilowatt hour of electricity was around 28 cents. In January 2024, this will already be around 37.37 cents/kWh. According to the Verivox consumer price index, the price of electricity in Germany is among the highest in the world.
